Hi, I'm Nick, a qualified Naturopath and member of the Complementary Medicine Association.
I've spent 20 years on the Mornington Peninsula enjoying living by the bay. My Interests include organic farming, canoeing, swimming and focusing on the power of sunlight, fresh air and water for overall health. I have also travelled extensively around Asia and Europe, concentrating on wellbeing and lifestyle.
I lived on the island of Crete, Greece, which is very well known for it's very low coronary heart disease and for the longevity rates of those that live there. I used this as my drive to become a Naturopath and have gained extensive knowledge of the Mediterranean diet, lifestyle and herbal remedies that have been used on the island for thousands of years.
I use a simple and holistic approach to treat conditions and improve overall health and wellbeing.
The Naturopathic approach is to treat the whole person to rather find the underlying cause of disease.
Together we can...
Approach our health with nature's natural and traditional herbal health remedies for optimum strength and vitality for mind, body and soul.
Anthos: (v) Greek word meaning "to flourish, develop and evolve, to rejuvenate and prosper"
"It is more important to know what sort of a person has a disease, than to know what sort of disease a person has."
WHY USE NATUROPATHY?
Naturopathy takes a holistic approach to wellness and supports the patient to live a healthy lifestyle. The foundations of naturopathy are based on the importance of a healthy diet, clean fresh water, sunlight, exercise and stress management.
We aim to educate our patients to look after their own health and the health of their family, to minimise symptoms of any illness, support the body’s capacity to heal, and balance the body so that illness is less likely to occur in the future.
A range of therapies are used to support you which may include nutritional medicine, diet advice, herbal medicine, homeopathy, lifestyle advice, and tactile therapies, such as massage, acupressure or cooking advice and techniques.
Even though Naturopathic Principles are as old as history, they are as new as tomorrow because nature and truth never change. Any system that cured people years ago will help people today, and we can now scientifically validate and explain the clinical success of these approaches. - Arno R. Koegler
People are beginning to realize that it is cheaper and more advantageous to prevent disease rather than to cure it. - Henry Lindlahr
The treatment of disease is not nearly as important to long-term health and recovery as determining the true cause(s) of disease - Iva Lloyd
There is no medicine you can take that will replace what you can do for your own health. - Aarti Patel
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. - Author Unknown
The principles of naturopathic medicine are what distinguish it from every other type of medicine and what makes naturopathic medicine so clinically powerful, effective and in tune with patients. - Paul Saunders
